1. Agreement to These Terms

By installing the BidLens Chrome extension, creating an account, or using any part of the BidLens service at bidlens.co.uk, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use BidLens.

These terms form a legally binding contract between you and Antoan Bachev trading as BidLens ("BidLens", "we", "us", "our"), a sole trader operating under the laws of England and Wales.

2. What BidLens Is

BidLens is an AI-powered bid assistant tool. When you click the BidLens extension on an auction or bidding page, it captures a screenshot of your screen, sends it to an AI vision model to identify the item, and retrieves comparable sold prices from eBay UK to return an estimated fair market value.

BidLens provides estimates only. Price estimates are based on historical eBay UK sold listings and AI item identification. They are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current. The actual value of any item may differ significantly from the estimate shown. You must not rely on BidLens estimates as the sole basis for any bidding or purchasing decision.

BidLens is not:

• A financial adviser or investment service
• A guarantee of resale value or profit
• A replacement for your own research and judgement
• Liable for the outcome of any auction or bidding decision you make

Price and demand data sourced from eBay is provided in accordance with the eBay Developer Programme Agreement. eBay is a trademark of eBay Inc. BidLens is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by eBay.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use BidLens. By using the service you confirm that you are 18 or over. If you are under 18, you must not use BidLens.

BidLens is intended for users based in the United Kingdom. We make no representation that the service is appropriate or available in other jurisdictions.

4. Your Account

To access paid features you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials secure and confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately at hello@bidlens.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

You must provide accurate information when registering. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where we believe false information has been provided.

5. Subscription Tiers and Payment

BidLens is offered on the following tiers:

• Free: 10 lookups per month, core item identification and price estimate. No payment required.
• Pro — £9.99/month: Unlimited lookups, profit calculator, bid tracker dashboard, price trend, days to sell estimate, competition data. Billed monthly.
• Business — £24.99/month: All Pro features plus multi-user access and CSV export. Billed monthly.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. All prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT where required by law.

BidLens may offer a 14-day free trial on Pro or Business plans. Where a free trial is offered:

• No payment is taken during the trial period
• You must provide valid payment details to start your trial
• If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and you will be charged the applicable monthly fee
• You may cancel at any time during the trial period at no charge
• Only one free trial per person is permitted. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free trials is a breach of these terms

BidLens reserves the right to modify, limit, or withdraw the free trial offer at any time.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings under Settings → Manage Subscription, or by emailing hello@bidlens.co.uk.

When you cancel:

• Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
• You will not be charged for the next billing period
• Access to Pro or Business features ends when the current billing period expires
• You will not receive a refund or credit for the unused portion of the current billing period

Our full refund policy — including the circumstances in which we will issue a refund — is set out in the BidLens Refund and Cancellation Policy. That policy forms part of these Terms of Service.

Summary: cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current period. Refunds are available in specific circumstances set out in our Refund Policy.

7. Free Tier Fair Use

The Free tier is limited to 10 lookups per calendar month. Lookups reset on the first day of each calendar month.

Attempting to circumvent the lookup limit — including by creating multiple accounts, using automated tools, or any other method — is a breach of these terms and may result in immediate account termination without refund.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use BidLens to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Manipulate, defraud, or deceive other auction participants, sellers, or buyers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the BidLens extension or server
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute BidLens or access to it
• Use automated scripts or bots to trigger lookups in bulk
• Interfere with or disrupt the BidLens service or its infrastructure
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Upload or transmit malicious code of any kind

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that breaches these acceptable use rules, without notice and without refund.

9. Screenshots and Third-Party Content

When you use BidLens, you instruct it to capture a screenshot of your active browser tab. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture content from the pages you use BidLens on.

BidLens captures screenshots only for the purpose of identifying auction items. Screenshots are processed in memory and are not stored on our servers beyond what is strictly necessary to complete the analysis. We instruct our AI model to ignore any faces, usernames, or personal information visible in screenshots.

You must not use BidLens on pages where screen capture is prohibited by the platform's terms of service. We accept no liability for any breach of third-party platform terms resulting from your use of BidLens.

10. Intellectual Property

BidLens, including the Chrome extension, web application, logo, branding, and all associated code, is the intellectual property of Antoan Bachev trading as BidLens. All rights are reserved.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use BidLens solely for your personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these terms. This licence does not include any right to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from BidLens.

Your bid tracker data — items you log, prices you record, and profit calculations — belongs to you. You can export or delete it at any time from your dashboard.

11. Third-Party Services

BidLens relies on the following third-party services to operate:

• Anthropic Claude API — AI item identification
• eBay API — sold price and market data (eBay is a trademark of eBay Inc.; BidLens is not affiliated with eBay)
• Stripe — payment processing
• Cloudflare — DNS and content delivery

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of these third-party services. Price data retrieved from eBay is provided as-is and may not reflect current market conditions. We do not guarantee that any third-party service will be available at any given time.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

BidLens is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• BidLens will be available at all times or free from errors
• Item identifications will be accurate in every case
• Price estimates will reflect the actual market value of any item
• The service will meet your specific requirements

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, BidLens and Antoan Bachev shall not be liable for any loss of profit, loss of data, loss of revenue, indirect loss, or consequential loss arising from your use of BidLens or any bidding decision made in reliance on it.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of BidLens shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under UK law.

14. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of BidLens at any time. Where possible we will give you reasonable notice of material changes.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email to your registered address and update the effective date at the top of this document. Continued use of BidLens after updated terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

15. Termination

You may stop using BidLens and request account deletion at any time by contacting hello@bidlens.co.uk.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if:

• You breach any of these terms
• We reasonably suspect fraudulent or abusive use
• We are required to do so by law

On termination, your right to use BidLens ceases immediately. Your scan history and dashboard data will be retained for 30 days following termination or cancellation, after which it will be permanently deleted. We will retain only such data as is required by our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of BidLens shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Before raising a formal dispute, we ask that you contact us at hello@bidlens.co.uk to give us the opportunity to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.
