1. Subscription Model
BidLens is operated by Antoan Bachev as a sole trader under the laws of England and Wales. This policy sets out your rights regarding refunds and cancellations for BidLens subscription plans.
BidLens offers the following paid subscription plans:
- Pro Plan — £9.99 per month, billed monthly
- Business Plan — £24.99 per month, billed monthly
All subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis via Stripe. You will be charged on the same date each month from the date you first subscribed.
2. Free Trial
Where a 14-day free trial is offered:
- No payment is taken during the trial period
- You must provide valid payment details to start the trial
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged the monthly fee
- You can cancel at any time during the trial at no cost
BidLens reserves the right to modify or withdraw the free trial offer at any time without notice.
3. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your BidLens subscription at any time through:
- The BidLens dashboard — Settings → Manage Subscription
- Emailing hello@bidlens.co.uk with your registered email address
When you cancel:
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
- You will not be charged for the next billing period
- Access to Pro or Business features will end when the current billing period expires
- Your scan history and dashboard data will be retained for 30 days after cancellation, after which it may be deleted
Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period. Access continues until the period ends.
4. Refund Policy
4.1 General RuleDue to the nature of digital subscription services, BidLens does not offer refunds for:
- Partial months of service already used
- Subscription periods where the service was available but not used
- Change of mind after a charge has been processed
- Forgetting to cancel before the next billing date
We will consider a full or partial refund in the following circumstances:
- Technical failure: The BidLens service was completely unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours during your billing period due to our error, and you reported this to us
- Duplicate charge: You were charged twice for the same billing period due to a billing error
- Charge after cancellation: You were charged after properly cancelling your subscription
- Fraud: An unauthorised charge was made to your payment method — contact your bank and us immediately
To request a refund under an exception, contact us at hello@bidlens.co.uk within 14 days of the charge with your registered email address and a description of the issue. We will respond within 5 business days.
4.3 Refund ProcessApproved refunds will be:
- Processed back to your original payment method via Stripe
- Completed within 5–10 business days depending on your card provider
- Confirmed by email to your registered address
5. Plan Downgrade
If you downgrade from Business to Pro, or from Pro to Free:
- The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- No refund is issued for the difference in price for the current period
- You retain access to your current plan's features until the period ends
6. Price Changes
BidLens reserves the right to change subscription prices. If we increase prices:
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email to your registered address
- The new price will apply from your next billing date after the notice period
- If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the new price takes effect
7. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital service from the date of purchase. However, by starting to use BidLens immediately after subscribing, you acknowledge that you have expressly requested the service to begin within the cancellation period, and that your right to cancel ends once the service has been fully performed or you have begun using it.
This does not affect your rights in cases of faulty or misdescribed services.
